Cookies use

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored in your Internet browser or by the Internet browser on your computer system. If you call up a website, a cookie may be stored on your operating system. This cookie contains a characteristic string that allows unique identification of the browser when you return to our website. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your terminal device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them yourself or until they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

Cookies may originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services of third-party companies within websites (e.g. cookies for processing payment services). Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies may be used to evaluate user behavior or for advertising purposes. Some elements of our website require that the calling browser can be identified even after a page change.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. As long as you do not give your consent, the Borlabs Cookie® 2.2 blocks the setting of cookies that require your consent. The Borlabs Cookie® 2.2 collects certain user information, including the IP address, when our website is called up so that page views can be assigned to individual users and, on the other hand, so that the consent settings made by the user can be individually recorded, logged and stored for a session duration. This data will not be shared with Borlabs.

The collected data will be stored until you request us to delete it or until you delete Borlabs Cookie® 2.2 yourself or until the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

The Robinson List of the DDV

For more than 47 years, DDV has offered those affected the opportunity to be included in the Robinson List. Anyone who does not wish to receive addressed advertising letters from companies for which they are not a customer or have not expressly agreed to receive them can be entered on this list.

Anyone can register with different spellings of his name in the list free of charge. The entry in the Robinson list is valid for five years and must be renewed thereafter. The time limit prevents the Robinson list from becoming obsolete, e.g. due to moving or marriage. According to DDV’s experience, between 80 and 90 percent of companies use the Robinson list, as this can considerably reduce advertising and postage costs.

However, the Robinson list cannot completely rule out the possibility of advertising letters to acquire new customers, as their use is voluntary in Germany. Those affected can call 0 52 44 / 90 37 23 or write to request an application form:
